Beautiful Renaissance garden in Verona

The Giradini Giusti is one of the most beautiful gardens in Italy. The Giusti family built the  Palazzo Giusti with its beautiful surrounding gardens in the 16th century. In the 19th century the garden was transformed into an English garden, which gave it its current appearance. The beautiful Renaissance garden is dominated by an impressive, ancient cypress tree avenue, which even impressed the poet Goethe. On several terraces marble sculptures, columns cypresses and clipped hedges can be found. At the highest point of the garden is an oversized mask sculpture – the “Maskeron”. From here you have a wonderful view over the palace and the city.
