Villa Foscarini Rossi is located on the western edge of Stra not far from Villa Pisani. It was built towards the end of the 16th century by Vincenzo Scamozzi in a typically Palladian style. Among the owners there was – as was so often the case – a Venetian Doge. The Villa was renovated in the 19th century in keeping with classical style, which gave it its present appearance. The Foresteria is decorated with many remarkable frescoes and thanks to the good acoustics, regular concerts are also held here. Shoe lovers will enjoy the exhibition of historical designer shoes that can be admired here.
