The UNESCO declared eight Ravennese buildings – seven buildings featuring mosaics and Theoderic’s tomb, which was made from massive lime stone – World Heritage Site in 1996.

Russi is home to one of the region's largest archaeological excavation sites on which a Roman country house was found now giving interesting insights into the mode of life at that time.
